Voices of the left

THIS BRIEF VIDEO was shot during a Tax Day protest in Los Angeles. They are anti-Trump people whose levels of ignorance run so profoundly deep that you gotta howl.

Listen to responses that aspire to babble.

    1. Carole: Magic indeed. Black magic.

But stop it with that “progressive” business. That’s their term for themselves. It, like “liberal”, is spectacularly inaccurate.

The term “useful idiots” comes to mind here.

  1. Pathetic situation of uneducated generation using student loan money to the trillions thinking they are not obligated to return this debt. One made the profound statement he pays no taxes as he does not work. Another reason to actually clean the swamp.

    1. Ah, Pat, there are so many reasons to clean the swamp of government, and to get young adults out of their parents’ basements too. I read a news story recently that there are currently more people in the United States, aged 18-34, living with their parents than are married and out on their own.

  2. LOL, and Hillary still can’t figure out how and why she lost the election? I didn’t hear one rational or even lucid comment in this entire video.

    1. Mound: Lucidity made no appearance in the video. Of course, the person who made the video would have edited out anything rational, but I’d bet big bucks he did not encounter much of rationality at the event. Nincompoopery would have reigned.

  3. There seems to be a lot of mass insanity afoot….call it Trump Derangement Syndrome but a lot of millenials have become unhinged since the election. I suspect they were unhinged before but having Trump win the election triggered them severely. Not sure if there’s a cure. One can only hope. Here’s a little compilation of SJW ponerization by Paul Joseph Watson who has more subscribers than CNN. Enjoy.

    1. Brent: Okay, smart guy, you made me look up ponerization, which I initially thought was a typo on your part. But no!

Liked the Watson video. He’s invariably quite a hoot.

The United States has been on a downward trajectory since the fall of the Soviet Union which removed the existential threat we had faced since the end of World War II. An entire generation of colossally silly people has emerged since, people who are spoiled, ignorant and fixated entirely upon themselves. I am not optimistic.

      1. Ha 🙂 I just learned that word a couple of months ago. Not sure if I used it correctly but close enough. Unfortunately Canada is at least as bad as the USA. I think it’s partly our eroding educational system and a generation of lazy parenting. I think some of these kids could be turned into productive members of society with a little slap upside the head and being told ‘no’ once in a while but apparently that’s verboten now. It might hurt their precious self esteem.
We are cursed or blessed with not having kids. I may not have a family member to look after me in my old age but at least I’ll know my carbon footprint is lower than most. Cheers. Off to Merida and 40 degrees Celsius tomorrow. Not sure if this was a good idea but the winter has been so long and crappy here in Vancouver I’m willing to give it a try.

        1. Brent: Some while back I read a news story in which a military drill instructor said they were getting recruits now who clearly had never been told no in their entire lives by anyone who actually meant it.

There was some serious retraining ahead.

        1. Kim: That is certainly a large part of the problem. But there are lots of reasons for the current sad state of affairs.

Now let’s get back to taking photos of ourselves.

  4. I bet none of those folks had to leave the demonstration early to make it to work. Notice how some political parties avoid using the term “Working Class.” The term offends their constituency. They are too good to work.
What will happen to these people when their families and society cannot or will not support them? Worse, what will happen to the rest of us?
I have brothers whose kids are Democrats. I feel so sorry for them.

    1. Señor Gill: All my relatives above the border, few as they are these days, vote the Democrat line. Heck, I even saw a photo on Facebook of my daughter in a pink “pussy hat.”

      Where did I go wrong?

  5. I’m sure that video was edited to make the people look as clueless as possible. Still, no one (as far as I know) has explained exactly what the point of Trump releasing his returns is now. And why the heck would he? He already won the election.

And those who are opposed to everything that Trump stands for presumably then want to ship more US jobs overseas. They need to be reminded of this, as does the Democrat party which once stood in favor of good jobs.

I also have to really challenge those who mindlessly say that Trump is anti-gay. Fer crissakes! Not only is he a native New Yorker, but he gave a very moving speech after the Orlando massacre promising to protect gay people AND he repeated those themes at the Republican National Convention, and got a standing ovation for it.

People who think Trump is anti-gay really aren’t paying the slightest bit of attention.

    1. Kim: Tossing out “racist,” “sexist,” “homophobic,” etc., is simply something the left does these days, and it usually has no connection to reality. It’s silly. They just hope it will stick and do some damage. If that doesn’t work, dress up in black and toss a Molotov cocktail. Literally.

      1. The left, like so many institutions in America and the West, is suffering from the malaise of success. Right? They’ve pretty much gotten all they set out to get in the 60’s and now the younger generation is desperately hoping to be able to achieve something similar. This has happened across a wide range of social spheres from gay rights, female equality, minority rights, environmental protection, worker protection, car safety, workplace safety, healthcare, and on and on. In every one of those fields, the bulk of the progress has been achieved, yet smaller and smaller gains are being fought for, harder and harder.

And so you have the craziness we see today.
