The Odd Pot

Bradley/Chelsea seeks to be a senator

AMERICA IS ON a downward trajectory. It began with Flower Power in the 1960s, worsened when the Soviet Union collapsed, which removed all need for national worry, and today the spoiled country drifts with no moral compass.

Many Americans still possess compasses, but the nation as a whole is adrift.

Now we have Bradley Manning, who calls himself Chelsea Elizabeth these days, running for public office. Manning has been convicted of espionage, which often results in a firing squad, and he is a severely troubled individual, something that’s clear by the tone of this grim campaign spot.

And that’s all I’m gonna say about it. Draw your own conclusions.

  1. How refreshing to see someone refer to a person such as this Manning fellow as an actual fellow! Regardless of a person’s decision to mutilate their genitals and inject themselves with a concoction of hormones, if you’re a guy you’re a guy. If you’re a girl you’re a girl.

  2. I’ve got a niece who now wants to be referred to as ‘they.’ I’m not going to do it no matter how much she kicks and screams. I’m sorry to see her spiral downward into mental illness, but SHE’S certainly not alone. If Trump wins again in 2020 it’s going to be a long exhausting seven years. By the way, I just heard that the women’s movement (whatever that is) is rejecting the now-famous pink pussy hats because they discriminate against transsexuals. (Face/Palm!)

    1. Brent: I am saddened by this news that mental illness exists in your family. My daughter, who at 51 is a good bit older than your niece, I’m guessing, has been spotted wearing a pink pussy hat, but I imagine she’s sticking with her traditional pronoun.

(Face/Palm!)? This is a new one for me, but I kinda like it.

      1. Hey, I hope you’re not implying that I’m mentally ill by association?! 🙂 I think I’m okay ’cause I was adopted … but then that opens another can of worms. I love my niece, and I hope she grows out of this phase. If she’d accept that she’s a woman she would be beautiful. But I guess I shouldn’t say that. An old guy like me noticing that a young woman is beautiful … verboten.

        1. Not at all, Brent. You are known to be rock-steady. But my heart goes out to you for having this cultural abomination in your family. As you note, perhaps she will grow out of it. But stick to your guns. She’s not a them.

As for an old guy noticing beautiful babes, no problem. I do it every day. I don’t even have to leave home to indulge in it.

She/he/it believes that there is a chance in hell, perhaps. Maybe Pocahontas will lend her some credentials and run.
You keep finding these articles and stories which further validate that the disease has spread perhaps too far already to be able to controlled at all, it may be too late.

    1. Ray: I am not optimistic. Thank God my days are numbered. Living in a different country does help. Little of this foolishness exists down here. There are lots of things one can say about us Mexicans, but we’re not nuts and spoiled.

  4. My days are numbered also. There’s just too many things I don’t understand and don’t have the energy to figure out. All the different “sexuals,”, bi, trans, homo and the new one where they aren’t either one, male or female. American politics is pretty much a muddled mess and Canada’s isn’t much better.

I’m off to Mexico for 4-6 months. It’s confusing down there also, but at least it’s in a different language, most of it is in a different verbiage, and I’m okay with that. At least the sun will be shining. I may pop by your village. It’s on my list. Wish Ray would be there also. He’s a good man, and he rides motorcycles.

    1. Bob: Yes, American politics (and its society) is a muddled mix indeed, and so is Canada’s. And don’t overlook Western Europe. Do pass by Alabama on your way down. Pick up Ray. That would be very nice.

  5. Felipe,

I can’t believe we were forced to pay for that traitor’s sex change operation. Just goes to show just how lost we truly are as a society.
