  1. I have always wondered what life must be like in the Bizarro World, and thanks to you and your blog I have a much clearer understanding. Muchisimas gracias.

      1. Oh, c’mon Felipe. I can post any number of videos that clearly portray trump supporters as blooming morons. And as far as anyone knows any of yours or mine can be staged. Look at the absolute crap that (mis)INFOWARS tries passing off as truth. It almost got people killed with the absolutely phony and dangerous Pizzagate BS.

I will try not to insult your intelligence if you try not to insult mine. Deal?

          1. You might not be a fan but plenty on the right are. And that’s the problem. One of your conservative brethren went into the pizza parlor with a firearm with the intent on killing people because he believed Jones’ BS.

But enough. We will never agree on anything political. You will never change your mind and you won’t be changing mine and viceversa.

            1. It’s good to try to understand the other side, even if you will never agree with them. I find that both sides have a tremendous misunderstanding of each other. Worse, very few on either side take the effort to understand the other.

If nothing else, please don’t be one of those.

          2. I’m an unapologetic Infowars fan. I take everything with a grain of salt whether it’s from them, CNN or the NYT. There have been a number of stories broken by IW that were deliberately ignored by the MSM. You can’t stop crazy people from doing crazy things and the Pizzagate thing was unfortunate. Still there has been far more violence by loons on the left than loons on the right and once again CNN and the rest of the decrepit MSM ignores violence against Conservatives but exaggerates the opposite. The coverage of the Covington Catholic kids was back assward and resulted in hundreds of death threats and other obscene nonsense. The truth is hard to come by these days so I tend to look at a dozen or so media outlets and independents before forming an opinion. If the story changes I am open to changing my opinion.

            1. Pizzagate was “unfortunate”? Holy pepperoni, Batman! It was a complete fabrication, fella! A complete lie! And it could have gotten people killed. I suppose you also believe in the government controlled tornados! Gay frogs! And Sandy Hook was staged!

Alex Jones is one sick SOB. Anyone that even tunes in to his broadcasts has significant mental problems and a complete disconnect from reality.

              1. Yeah I know. I don’t think he can help it. I think that’s what a lot of people think about Trump. They’re both brash and don’t seem to have much of a filter. Cheers and sorry about me stirring the pot. It’s your blog and you can get rid of any post you like. Somehow I don’t think you will 😉

              2. It’s not hard for me to imagine that Alex Jones is correct far more often than CNN. But since I don’t care to actually do the work to prove that, I’ll remain imagining it.

  2. Thanks for that. It’s funny. So what do you think about the over-the-top SWAT team raid of Roger Stone’s house ? They had four more personnel than were used to kill Osama bin Laden. And CNN just happened to be there an hour before the raid to get it all on film. It was obviously for show and to send a message to other Trump allies. It seems as if there is a coup underway. Trump has to start fighting back, or they will take him out one way or another.

    1. Brent: The Stone raid was absurd. I mean, really, a dawn raid with about 500 armed FBI agents and CNN along to get it all on tape.

It was a fine example of what Trump is up against, and the profound depths of corruption in which Washington swims. Meanwhile, the Blond Bomber continues to give the raspberry all around. Gotta love him, and I do.

  3. Asked this morning if Trump is really prepared to shut down the government in three weeks, Mick Mulvaney (Chief of Staff) says, “Uh, yeah, I think he actually is. Keep in mind he’s willing to do whatever it takes to secure the border.”

    Slow learner.

Actually, I think Pelosi is right when she pointed to some decorations in her office and said, “We could plant those flowers along the border and he would say, ‘I got my wall.’ “

  4. When did Felipe’s blog become a battleground pitting two discordant political sides against one another? This is a place for Felipe to compare and contrast his life in Mexico with his background and life in the U.S. with some pictures for the pleasure of readers. Please spare his readers from bloviating about how disagreeable politics is and find another blog where such is better received.

    1. Sorry, Carole. I know we’re not supposed to respond to other posters and I partially agree with you, but if you read Felipe’s post it’s all about American politics, not his life in Mexico. I thought it was an all-clear to climb onto our soapboxes. Kind of a “don’t poke the bear!” Cheers 🙂 Now back to your regular programming.

    2. Carole: Politics has long been a theme here. My life in Mexico is another. Sometimes, it’s U.S. politics, sometimes Mexican politics. It’s only a battleground here on the relatively rare occasion when leftists insist on weighing in, which they are welcome to do. But they have to react to me, not to other commenters. It requires little searching online to see what happens when commenters start in on one another. Rudeness quickly follows. Sad.

  6. Well, we are all entitled to our own opinions, and we have the right to express those opinions. Then again, we also have the right to ignore the ranting of others.
The essence of conservatism is that every one gets to make up their own mind on issues. We don’t have to follow a party line.
