Trump’s da man!

(The following is an editorial from the Investor’s Business Daily. For an even more detailed list of President Trump’s many accomplishments, go here.)

AFTER WEEKS and months of fixating on tweets and Russia, someone in the press decided to have a look at what the Trump administration has been up to since January. Lo and behold, they discovered that it’s getting a lot done.

serveimage“Trump Has Quietly Accomplished More Than It Appears,” reads the headline in the Atlantic.

“With the Trump administration’s chaos sucking up all the attention,” the article begins, “it’s been able to move forward on a range of its priorities … It is remaking the justice system, rewriting environmental rules, overhauling public-lands administration, and greenlighting major infrastructure projects. It is appointing figures who will guarantee the triumph of its ideological vision for decades to come.”

It goes on to detail these achievements, many of which we’ve highlighted on these pages.

Border crossings, for example, have plummeted, even though all Trump has done so far is promise to enforce existing laws.

The Supreme Court approved parts of Trump’s travel ban, a success made possible by Trump’s appointment of Neil Gorsuch to the bench.

Trump is busy filling lower court positions with conservative justices. Ron Klain, a White House aide to Bill Clinton and Barack Obama, said that Trump “is proving wildly successful in one respect: naming youthful conservative nominees to the federal bench in record-setting numbers.”

What else? Well, Trump pulled out of the Paris climate change deal, which as we noted in this space is a yuuuge win for the economy.

The EPA, meanwhile, is dismantling Obama’s coal-killing, growth-choking Clean Power Plan, and draining the heavy-handed Waters of the United States rule. When a veteran EPA official resigned this week, she complained in a letter to her former colleagues that “the new EPA Administrator already has repeals of 30 rules under consideration,” which the New York Times described as “a regulatory rollback larger in scope than any other over so short a time in the agency’s 47-year history.”

Trump promised to kill two regulations for every new one enacted, but in his first six months the ratio was 16-to-1.

Trump also approved the Keystone XL and other pipeline projects held up by Obama. He’s also rolled back a ban on coal mining on public lands.

To be sure, Trump hasn’t scored a major legislative achievement on signature issues like ObamaCare and tax reform.

The Atlantic writer describes the administration’s achievements as something akin to a shadow government. But these actions aren’t in the shadows. They’re just being ignored by a media that is obsessed with digging up dirt on Trump.

Gone, not forgotten

AS LEFTISTS continue to swoon, roll their eyeballs and riot in the streets over the presidency of Donald Trump, let us pause and gaze back at the Barry Obama years.

A tip of the sombrero to The Beltway Times for bringing this video to my attention.

Wall foolishness

0515-us-mexico-border-fence_full_600
Note to Americans: There’s already lots of wall.

PRESIDENT TRUMP came out of the gate like gangbusters during his first week in office. Kudos to  him!

He restrained the ham-fisted leftists running the Environmental Protection Agency.  He cut off federal aid to law-flaunting leftists running Sanctuary Cities.

He canceled the cash that left-wing Barry had funneled in his waning White House days to Palestinian terrorists.

He revived the Keystone Pipeline. He canceled the horrendous Catch-and-Release policy for illegals.

And Trump declared Israel great again, reversing Barry’s leftist, anti-Semitic tomfoolery.

But there’s one very dumb thing my boy Donald is doing: this business about Mexico paying for a border wall.

Did Israel demand that Mohammedans pay for the walls it’s erected? Lots of good it would have done.

Do you expect your next-door neighbor to buy the deadbolt for your house’s front door?

Nations who want to secure their borders, and all nations should, especially successful ones, must finance their border walls themselves.

That Mexico would pay for the wall was a good campaign slogan, appealing to low-information voters. But the campaign is over. Extend the wall, but don’t expect Mexico to pay for it, and don’t force it via other means.

Keeping your house locked is your own responsibility.

And Mexico should build a wall on its southern border. Don’t expect Guatemala to pay for it.

Adiós, Barry

barry
Pantywaist on wheels. Good grief!

THE NATIONAL embarrassment is over. Barry’s out. Let us praise the Goddess for this overdue gift.

The worst president in American history, inexplicably left in the Oval Office for eight numbing years, is gone.

Have there been other presidents equally incompetent? Yes. But there has not been one in modern times, in this world made small by dangerous technology.

Barack Hussein Obama won the presidency for just one reason: In spite of being mulatto, he passed for black in these politically correct times. And enough people swooned.

They swooned so heavily that Barry won the reputation for eloquence, which was a total myth. Without a teleprompter, his speeches were slow, wooden, passionless.

I won’t detail his sins. There aren’t enough gigabytes. The swooners don’t see them, and the rest of us already know them. The curious can see a good list by rereading my post from last March entitled Trump: the Reaction.

And now we have Donald Trump. America goes from one extreme to the other. The next four — or perhaps even eight — years will be interesting.

Hold onto your sombrero.

And now, America the Beautiful:

The new labels

le-penRIGHT-WING FRENCH politician Marine Le Pen opines: There is no more Left or Right. There are only Globalists or Nationalists.

I think she is right, no pun intended. But those labels are another, fresher way, of saying Left and Right.

The key issue is multiculturalism, the diversity thing. It you favor it, you’re on the Left, a Globalist. If you oppose it, as I do, you’re on the Right, a Nationalist.

Multiculturalism has been the rage in elitist, left-wing circles for decades, and its heavy hand inspired the backlash that has Donald Trump heading to the Oval Office. Perhaps he can knock a little sense into our heads.

Multiculturalism was seeded in the 1960s, a hippie thing. It’s Utopian, idealistic, lovely to imagine, dreamy-eyed, and totally unworkable. Like socialism-communism.

It birthed the curse of Political Correctness.

In the real world, people embrace their differences, their individuality, with a vengeance. We love what separates us, what makes us think we’re better than others.

Ego.

Obama’s a Globalist. Trump’s a Nationalist. The next eight years will be fun as Globalists collide with reality.

I like the new labels.

Nincompoop parade

THIS IS LOTS of fun to watch. I think my favorite is the insufferable, ever-smug, dyke Rachel Maddow.

The cluelessness of these people is astounding. This gang of arrogant, East Coast swells cannot grasp an election outcome counter to their view of things.

The Trump Train, running at full throttle, bell clanging, hit them from behind while they were gazing the other way, with blind adulation in their eyes, at Hillary, their empress.

I found this on Gab, the recently launched, rapidly growing, free-speech alternative to censor-loving Twitter.

Waffles & snowflakes

waffles

WE’RE A HEALTH-conscious couple, and we watch what we eat. It’s partly why we are so slim and beautiful.

Although we love waffles, we rarely eat them because they are not healthy. However, special occasions call for celebration, and we decided Wednesday morning to breakfast on waffles, a Trump fiesta with Canadian maple syrup.

However, just as my child bride was about to turn on the blender and waffle iron, the electricity went out, and it stayed out for an hour due to work in the street.

So we ate the usual cereal, but with a grin. At least I was grinning. My lovely companion still is uncertain about Trump, being Mexican and listening to Mexican news sources, which are just as left-wing as CNN and MSNBC.

There is no Mexican version of Fox or Breitbart.

However, she’s as conservative as I am, and she knows that I always know best, so she’s coming around, slowly.

Mexico has focused entirely on Trump’s border wall and his sometimes ill-phrased statements about Mexicans.

They know nothing about other U.S. issues like tax cuts, veterans’ matters,  federal debt, entitlements, BLM, Islamic terrorism, Mohammedan “refugees,” safe spaces,  PC lunacy, Common Core, joblessness and so on.

Alas, to Mexicans, it’s all about them and their God-given right to sneak across the border whenever they feel like it.

Our waffle extravaganza was delayed one day, but not canceled. We waffled our hearts out yesterday instead.

Like election night, it was very tasty.

01_snowflake_1Left-wing snowflakes are in a state of hysteria and meltdown. Here are some hilarious examples:

  1. A guy named Jerry Kang, who is UCLA’s vice chancellor for “equity, diversity and inclusion,” held an event last night to process the shocking election results.
  2. At Cornell University, a “cry-in” was held on the Quad. “I’m quite terrified, honestly,” one snowflake opined.
  3. Thousands of poor losers blocked the entrance to Trump Tower in Chicago. They said they are against fascism, racism and war. Where this stuff is breaking out in the wake of the election is not clear.
  4. Snowflake high school students and teachers, about 1,500 of them,  staged a walkout Wednesday in California to protest Trump’s fair-and-square election victory. They’re just not gonna take it, you hear?
  5. In New York, thousands of leftists took to the streets howling obscenities about Trump’s victory, “rape culture,” racism and all that silly razzmatazz.

I remember the day following the shocking (to conservatives) re-election in 2012 of Weepy Barry.

We were gobsmacked!

But did we stage cry-ins? Did we block entrances to buildings? Did Republican ghetto-dwellers riot in the streets, as happened in Oakland after the Trump victory?

Of course not. We just hoped for a better day.

And here it is!

This is yuuuuuuge!

LET’S PRAY this will be the beginning of the end of the Flower Power nuttiness that erupted half a century ago.

R.I.P.: Kumbaya, globalism, organic food, unisex restrooms, safe spaces, ObamaCare, open borders, sanctuary cities …

… all that bunkum.

In brief: Yipeee!

Potty-mouth party

AS THE ELECTION season draws to a close, Democrats return to what they do best: cussin’ like crazy.

Verbal diarrhea.

One area in which the divide between goofy socialists and clear-thinking conservatives looms large is language.  Whereas leftists are today’s language police (watch those pronouns!), they do not extend that policing to profanity.

They curse like merchant seaman. Everywhere. There is no social setting in which a well-enunciated motherf**cker seems out of place to them. They are crass people.

I wrote about this during the last presidential election in a post titled What the (bleep)! Movie star Samuel Jackson and comedienne Sarah Silverman released political videos for their man, Weepy Barry, that were nonstop profanities.

Insiders have reported that Hillary Clinton, when off-camera, is also shockingly profane.

You will never see a political ad from Republicans that includes profanity of any sort. We are well-bred people.

(Note: Interestingly, these obscene, ghetto-speak ads from the Democrat Party began with Obama. The old Democrat Party behaved far better.)
